KANDOR13
BRINGING ART AND COMMUNITIES TOGETHER TO FORGE INNOVATIVE FORMS OF COLLECTIVE LIFE THOUGH SPATIAL PRACTICE, STORYTELLING, AND INSTITUTIONAL EXPERIMENTATION— IMAGINING NEW WAYS OF BEING
KANDOR13 is currently developing a new institutional phase based in Denmark and the Nordic region.
Building on its transnational history of artistic collaboration, editorial projects, residencies, and curatorial experimentation, the platform is expanding toward long-term cultural initiatives that connect art, communities, spatial practice, and collective forms of learning.
Future programs will focus on interdisciplinary collaborations, temporary learning structures, publishing, spatial interventions, and regional projects developed in dialogue with artists, researchers, institutions, and local communities.
As the organization evolves, KANDOR13 aims to operate as an open cultural framework where artistic imagination can contribute to new forms of collective life and institutional experimentation across Nordic and international contexts.
FOUNDED IN NEW YORK, KANDOR13 EMERGED AS AN EXPERIMENTAL PLATFORM BRINGING TOGETHER ARTISTS, CURATORS, WRITERS, AND CULTURAL PRACTITIONERS THROUGH EXHIBITIONS, RESIDENCIES, PUBLICATIONS, AND COLLABORATIVE PROJECTS. OVER THE YEARS, THE PLATFORM DEVELOPED AN INTERNATIONAL NETWORK ACROSS LATIN AMERICA, THE UNITED STATES, AND EUROPE, ENGAGING CONTEMPORARY ART THROUGH SPATIAL PRACTICE, STORYTELLING, RESEARCH, AND INSTITUTIONAL DIALOGUE. THE ARCHIVE GATHERS PREVIOUS PROJECTS, EXHIBITIONS, COLLABORATIONS, AND EDITORIAL INITIATIVES THAT SHAPED THE EVOLUTION OF KANDOR13 AND CONTINUE TO INFORM ITS CURRENT DIRECTION. TODAY, KANDOR13 ENTERS A NEW PHASE FOCUSED ON BUILDING CULTURAL INFRASTRUCTURES THAT CONNECT ART, COMMUNITIES, AND COLLECTIVE FORMS OF IMAGINATION ACROSS NORDIC AND INTERNATIONAL CONTEXTS.
